Tips for air travel within USA

1. Register in airlines' websites to earn miles. The more miles you earn the more benefits you get. So before you book a ticket, check whether you have logged in. Even if you are booking tickets through 'agents' websites like expedia or orbitz, do not forget to enter your 'rewards' number of respective airlines.

2. Less luggage is always more comfort. Do not carry unnecessary things. For those who are traveling to attend interviews:

-Never carry original certificates with you for interviews unless the program specifically asks for it. You can carry copies of the certificates, but the there is less than 1% chance that you would be asked to show any documents during the interview (unless the program specifically asks you to bring documents like your Diploma, ECFMG certificate, etc). University at Buffalo (Sisters of Charity) would ask you to bring originals of your ECFMG certificate, Diploma and any other publications you might have. Cook County Hospital, Chicago would ask you to bring copies.

3. There is a limitation to carry liquids and gels in your carry-on luggage. It is always better to pack them in your check-in luggage. If not follow these instructions as told by the TSA:
"All liquids, gels and aerosols must be in three-ounce or smaller containers. Larger containers that are half-full or toothpaste tubes rolled up are not allowed. Each container must be three ounces or smaller.
All liquids, gels and aerosols must be placed in a single, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag." (You can buy this bag in the airport and it can be used for any future travel as well)

If you would like to add any tips, please leave a comment below. I would update it here.
