Cheaper flights to the US from India

Hi guys,
Recently, I was searching for flights to the US from India. I would like to share the websites which gave me cheaper airfares. Note that this information would apply for a limited period only.
P.S : Please RIGHT click on high-lighted links and open them in 'new window' or 'new tab'. ( want to experience tab- browsing?-Click on the link mentioned in the right column of this blog for free download of Firefox)

Left click makes things difficult as it opens in the same browser window, you need to click 'back' every time.
Updated Oct 20, 2007 : Please Note : All the fares quoted below are for round-trip.
TIP : If you are a visitor with B1/B2 visa to the USA, you are expected to have a round-trip ticket in hand at the port of entry. It is not mandatory, but it is advisable. That convinces the officer that your intention is to return to your country.

Please let me know if you find any of the following offers are closed or no longer existing.

http://www.yatra.com/international/YT/index.html?sid=fbdeaec74c855145674ccd0fd2921fc7&VERSION=YT&
-Does not give you 'flexible dates' and 'near-by airports' option. so if your dates are flexible and can fly from nearby cities, you need to search manually by changing dates and airports. The cheapest fare i found in this website was around Rs.44000(Qatar Airways).
Air France
- Has great offers. check their website out.
Emirates
-Saw a fare around Rs.50,000.
Air India

- Lowest rates around Rs.49,000. (Direct flight)
Makemytrip
- Rates are comparable to yatra.com. But the disadvantage is makemytrip does not allow online booking for international flights. You need to call them up. Get their phone numbers here.
Jet airways
Connect to fewer cities in the US.
Virgin Atlantic
Cheaper fares. But long stopover in London.
Continental Airlines
Good deals. Connect to even minor cities in the US. Best fare I could find was around Rs. 53000

If you know of any new deals, please let us know through the 'Comments' section below.

I got a one way trip on Continental airlines from New Delhi (DEL) to Newark (EWR) in New Jersey for Rs. 30,000/-. Expedia.com and www.travelocity.com give excellent deals. This was in Sep 2007, on Saturday departure.

Roundtrip fare DEL - EWR was US$914 by Virgin Atlantic, with stopover in London for 3 hours. Virgin Atlantic missed my luggage on the way back :-( It came next day only.

You should book in advance to get the best deals.

Newark is a very nice airport, way better than JFK, and has onward connections to almost anywhere in the USA.
